There is a saying in English that I take solace in when the world becomes a bit too complicated to understand, it goes like this: “God made man very simple, but man has made his life very complicated”.

Dear Son,

Forgive your mother and me for the fight that we had last night. I’m sorry that you had to hear all that screaming and raising of voices. I could say it was her fault and she started it but it really doesn’t matter because I cause my fair share of fights too. When you get to my age maybe you will understand why man and woman sometimes behave like cat and dog.
